I really wanted to make a wedding collection for women who are mars influenced, they're more cut angular or dark/serious in appearance. I'm a really huge fan of traditional white fluffy cupcake princess wedding dresses, but I also love the opposite extreme. I wanted to dedicate a set to myself and the drapery, colors and fabrics I see myself in.  These wedding pieces are for girls who are often associated with effortless intimidation, girls who could wear a brown paper bag and look elegant, girls who find a husband who matches her in physical intimidation and intensity. 

I mixed matched and layered a lot with this collection, you might see the same shawl or dress 3 times styled in conjunction with another dress or draped fabric.

dressing in several layers, to the point that its almost too much fabric, the more fabric you add the less of the person you see.

 

In this scenario, several hundred years in the future, the population living in the desert are at constant hostilities with each other, but its extremely routine and casual.  It's a diary for a girl who was 24 years,  6 days old when she met her husband, and she's now getting married to him at 24 years 2 weeks and 3 days old. The best martian love ritual includes a true binding contract, weaponry, and restraint. 

Restraint being the key term, in an ideal marriage there's always a sort of line drawn between you and your spouse, you never need to know them fully, you shouldn't always feel entitled to their closeness or affection, this is what makes it worth anything.

In this kind of environment, you have to be at the altar by 1800 hrs and then deal with an enemy lines ambush at 1900 hrs.  The wedding attire has to be practical for the environment and geographical circumstances, while still inciting feelings in your new mate.

The partnered song I chose for this book is Could Be Us by whitearmor, from his "Music For Weddings" album,, which was  unintentional, I didn't even think of the song until after I was done,  it's a sentimental song for me and its message  fits perfectly for the story Im telling
